Blossom Water Expands Presence in Whole Foods Market with Authorization for Rocky Mountain Region

Simultaneously Initiates Partnership with UNFI Enabling Distribution to Additional Retailers in Region

Massachusetts-based beverage startup Blossom Water LLC has received authorization to sell its all natural essence waters in Whole Foods Market’s Rocky Mountain region.  This includes 34 stores in Colorado, Kansas (including Kansas City, Missouri), New Mexico, West Texas (El Paso), Utah and Idaho.  Combined with existing authorization in the North Atlantic, Blossom Water is now available in 74 Whole Foods stores.

Blossom Water also begins a strategic alliance with United Natural Foods Incorporated (UNFI).  UNFI is the leading distributor of natural foods and related products in the United States and Canada.  In addition to being a long-term preferred supplier for Whole Foods, UNFI distribution channels include other chain and independent natural food retailers, conventional supermarkets, gourmet and ethnic specialty stores, and food service.   Blossom Water’s four natural flavored waters will be stocked at UNFI’s 540,000 square foot distribution center in Aurora, Colorado.   UNFI will also provide merchandising and support services to help Blossom Water reach customers across multiple retailers throughout Colorado and other parts of the region.

Long a hub of the natural and organic food scene, Colorado has been dubbed the industry’s “Silicon Valley.”  Amid the majestic Rocky Mountains, residents love the outdoors and have a passion for healthy, active living.   This fosters fervent appreciation for wholesomeness and transparency in food and drink.  “We are delighted that Blossom Water will now become available to such discriminating consumers through our growing relationship with Whole Foods,” said Steve Fortuna, President and Cofounder of Blossom Water.  “And the new UNFI affiliation provides an important beachhead for distributing our essence waters to a variety of other retailers and on-premise venues in the region.  We believe Blossom Water’s ‘all natural, better for you’ appeal will resonate strongly with the Rocky Mountain lifestyle and ethos.”

About Blossom Water

Founded in 2013 and privately held, Massachusetts-based Blossom Water LLC produces a premium line of all natural essence waters.  Everyone knows water is nature’s perfect beverage for the functioning of our bodies.   But drinking enough water for proper hydration can get monotonous.   Blossom Water wants to contribute to healthfulness by making water more enjoyable and suited to all occasions.  Our products are currently available in four flavors: lemon rose, plum jasmine, grapefruit lilac and pomegranate geranium.   Blossom Water is unique in this pairing of blossoms with fruit.   Each flavor is simply pure water infused with essences of the fruit and flower and balanced by just a touch of natural sweetening.  The result is an all natural and low calorie drink that both fits into a health-conscious lifestyle and enhances plain water with refreshing zest.  All of our flavors deliver bright, thirst-quenching fruit upfront with a delicate floral note finish that is subtly aromatic yet crisp.    They can be found at retailers nationwide or purchased online.   For more information, please visit: http://drinkblossomwater.com or http://facebook.com/blossomwater.
