It’s all about the water. And here at Blossom Water, only the best water will do. That’s why we use Reverse Osmosis. It is the water purification method of choice for leading bottled water companies around the planet. Though it sounds like something from a 50’s Sci-Fi flick, reverse osmosis (RO) is the most effective and economical method of removing contaminants from water.
Osmosis is the natural tendency for water molecules to pass through a semi permeable membrane, from the side low in dissolved impurities to the side high in dissolved impurities. Reverse osmosis uses osmotic pressure to turn this tendency on its head. In the process, clean, pure water is driven from the concentrated solution and collected downstream of the membrane. “RO… completely filters all natural and synthetic toxins, microbes, debris, and minerals. When you drink water filtered through an RO unit, you’re getting 100 percent pure, high-quality drinking water that tastes great.” (Dr. Susanne Bennett)
Here’s how Wikipedia describes it: Reverse osmosis is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a semipermeable membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying a pressure in excess of the osmotic pressure. The largest and most important application of reverse osmosis is the separation of pure water from seawater and brackish waters; seawater or brackish water is pressurized against one surface of the membrane, causing transport of salt-depleted water across the membrane and emergence of potable drinking water from the low-pressure side.
Without RO, flavored water can be flavored by whatever exists within the water. At Blossom Water, we think you should be able to choose what flavors your favorite beverage. We’d like to suggest a few delightfully invigorating taste sensations…
